“Kepter can’t be opened”: what this message means
This message comes from macOS, not from Kepter. Your Mac double-checks apps downloaded from the internet before the first open.
Kepter is notarized by Apple: every copy we ship is checked by Apple before you download it. So normally Kepter opens without any warning. If your Mac still balks, here is the standard fix:
- Open your Applications folder.
- Right-click (or Control-click) Kepter and choose Open.
- In the message that appears, click Open again.
macOS remembers your choice. Every open after this one is a normal double-click.
If the message says the app is damaged, the download likely broke partway. Delete Kepter from Applications, download it fresh, and install again.
If the message says Kepter is not supported on this Mac, nothing is broken and there is no fix to try. That message means the chip: Kepter runs on Apple Silicon Macs, M1 or later, and will not open on a Mac with an Intel processor. Check which Mac you have.
