Kepter is made by Chad Maltby, under Maltby Ventures LLC. One person, one Mac app, no investors to answer to.
Before Kepter there was another shipped Mac app under the same company. That's the record on offer: not a story, just prior work.
I kept trying to build a second brain. Every time I sat down to organize it, I had to go find the stuff first. That's where I gave up. Every time. Every app sells you the organizing. Nobody sells you the finding.
Kepter is the finding, sold on its own.
Kepter is written with AI tools in hand and every decision made by a person, then tested against a real suite of automated tests, and every claim on this site checked against the shipping code before it's printed. The receipts are public.
Kepter reads your files where they sit, on your Mac, and keeps no copy of anything. Your files never leave your Mac. If that arrangement ever changed, this page would say so first.
Organizing is retrieval work done in advance, billed to the person least able to do it. Kepter deletes the job.
Every claim about privacy on this site lives on the receipts page, checked against the shipping code.
Kepter reads, remembers, and recognizes. Plain words for what it does, plain words for what it costs.
Kepter is a product of Maltby Ventures LLC. It reads your files where they sit, on your Mac, and keeps no copy of anything.
