What happens when you quit, pause, or uninstall

Short version: your files are never affected by any of these. Here is what each one does.

Pause

Pausing stops Kepter from reading new files for a while. Click the K in the menu bar, choose Pause Indexing, then For 1 Hour, For 8 Hours or Until Resumed. In Settings → Watching, click Pause for 1 Hour or Pause for 8 Hours. While it’s paused, the menu bar shows Resume Indexing and Settings shows Resume. The library you already have keeps working.

Quit

Choose Quit Kepter from the menu bar K. The tab disappears and nothing runs until you open Kepter again. Your library waits unchanged.

Uninstall

1. Quit Kepter.
2. Drag Kepter from your Applications folder to the Trash.
3. Optional: Kepter’s index stays at ~/Library/Containers/app.kepter.keep. Delete that folder too if you want every trace gone.

Either way, every file in every folder stays exactly where it always was.
